Who we are – Our history
The company was started by Mr. Giorgos Kyriakidis, in the village of Polystipos, Nicosia.
The son of the founder, Mr. Kostas Kyriakidis, undertakes the compamy, which begins the modernization of the company.
Awarded by the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) with the 2nd Prize for Progress in the smoked meats production.
The company is changing its name and brand name from "Allantika Kyriakides LTD" to "Allantika Madari Ltd".
With the expansion of its operations, the company creates a latest type of manufacturing plant and moves to Kyperounta (HACCP specifications).
In 2004 it was approved by the ELOT certification body for the HACCP standard of hygiene and safety, and has the certification to this day.
The company is also certified with the ISO 22000 Food Safety Standard, which is renewed every three years.
The company becomes 3rd generation as Mr. Giorgos Kyriakides takes over retaining the brand name “Traditional Smoked Meats Madari” but changes the name of the company to “G.K. Troodos Foods LTD”.
